Seriously I LOVE the look of salvaged wood. Top photo is from Pintrest where it was applied to a wall. The colors are fabulous. I have seen people use this behind the wall of a bed and thought it is just so cool. The other photos are frames that are on the wall in my family room. I have owned these frames for many years and my house does not feel like my home until they are hung (4 homes later). They were made from old floor boards and moldings and some from colorful fishing boats. A friend of mine was removing an old green colored deck from her home and her husband made frames and mirrors from it that we sold at the barn. As a fun side note in the bottom picture (look really hard), the words "Once upon a time" are made from heated wire hangers bent to form the cursive writing. Another one of my favorite things I have always had. Just some super creative ideas for recycled materials.
