How lucky are we that our family was selected by Country Living Magazine to be their first ever Makeover Takeover? As many of you know, I have been a vendor at the Country Living Fair in Columbus for many years and I have read Country Living since my mother first got it. I still covet old copies with dog eared pages of inspiration and my dream house can be found in one of those old magazines as well. We have lived in my house for 9 years now and when we moved here the girls were babies. Now they are 13 and 11 and with two girls this age our needs have drastically changed and I feel like we are busting at the seams. They need their own space to hang with friends and Brian needs his own bathroom! We have only 1 shower which we all share and no master bath. We were going to be remodeling and when Country Living asked if I would be interested in involving them and their readers, of course I said yes! You will have the chance to vote on your choices for our room and help with certain design elements. First up is our family room (pictured below) that readers voted on via Facebook on the color choices for the built in's we had constructed to hold our TV and catch all of our coats and shoes. Check Country Living's Facebook page today or tomorrow to vote on our added master bath color and soon after that our master bedroom will follow. The story will first appear in the June/July issue and will be in 2 more times throughout the year ending with our kitchen/laundry remodel in the December Issue!
