repurposing found items

Owl never stop... by Gina Bishop

This is the latest in Homegirl recycled owl art and I have to say that it is one of my favorites. I just recently re-did the living room and this sits on my mantle now. It was made for the last barn sale to be sold, but did not make it into the barn because it had to live with me! It was so fun to construct! Look closely at the different parts: cutting board body, scallops from a bookshelf trim, baking pans, rake, spools of thread, salad tong for feet, and the eyes are moth ball cans. I am so psyched about the living room re-do! That will be my next post.

Fox 8 News Cleveland by Gina Bishop

Hello to new friends coming to my blog from the Fox 8 News segment I just completed. I had a blast with Kristi Capel, talking with her about repurposing items you might have around the house, or ones that are easy to acquire, for summer plantings and decor. And even though my head was behind a fern for half the segment :) I was glad to have the opportunity to show you some of the fun ways you can make a statement in your home.

The view from the control room - too cool!
Chatting with Kristi Capel
After my segment, they asked me to do a tip on the fly about decorating your workspace!
